There is a real need for Professional Drivers in the Passenger and School Bus industry.  If you take safety seriously, are looking for a career change and to earn some extra money, this might be the job for you!  There are opportunities for both full and part-time drivers.
CDL Passenger Endorsement is required for any commercial vehicle that transports 16 or more passengers, including the driver.  This would include delivery vehicles, motor coaches, and public service motor vehicles such as school buses.  School bus drivers must have a School Bus Endorsement in addition to the Passenger Endorsement.
During our course, students will learn the theory, as well as the skills necessary to safely drive school and other passenger buses in many situations and environments.  At the conclusion of the course, the DOT skills test will be administered onsite, and upon passing, students will be eligible to obtain a Class ‘B’ Commercial Driver’s license, carrying the Passenger Endorsement.
On the first day of class, students will be required to present a certified copy of their MVR (Motor Vehicle Record), Commercial Learner’s Permit, school bus/passenger permits (depending on which endorsements they are looking to obtain), and a current DOT physical.
Please call our Continuing Education office at 641-683-4250 with any questions.
