Dog Training: Good Manners 2 -- Continued Obedience and Therapy Dog Prep

Course number : NON 2100
« back to classes page
Improve your dog’s response to cues like stay, come, and off (no jumping) around increasing distractions. Practice loose leash walking in challenging environments. Teams in this class will learn the skills necessary to take the AKC Canine Good Citizen test, demonstrating the team’s ability to maintain good manners while navigating common public situations like greeting a friend, passing another dog, or walking through a crowd. This class is also an excellent class for dogs who are training to become therapy dogs. Dogs do not need to have taken a previous class at Indian Hills in order to take this class, but should have a solid beginner level understanding of core cues like sit, down, stay, and come and be friendly to other dogs and people. Pitt Bulls and Staffordshire Terriers cannot be accepted in this class due to city ordinances.
