The course content for this class will be offered in an online format (Part 1) and then the student will complete a hands-on assessment with the RQI simulation feedback manikin (Part 2). At the assessment the student will perform chest compressions, ventilations and 2-peson CPR on the adult/child manikin and the infant manikin.
An AHA course completion eCard will be issued through the student's RQI account upon successful completion of both the online course (Part 1) and hands on assessment (Part 2).
Students can expect to receive an email within 1-2 business days following their registration detailing how to access their online learning portal as well as how to complete their assignment. At that time, they will also receive an email from "RQI Partners and RQI1Stop" advising they have been given a new assignment. Students will use the link in this email to set up their RQI account and begin their on-line course. Students will have one month to finish the on-line portion (Part 1) of the course. Upon successful completion of part 1, students should email ashley.koll@indianhills.edu to schedule their hands on assessment (Part 2). The skills session is completed on campus and may be done Monday-Thursday, 7:30am-3:30pm at any time, excluding office/College closures and/or College breaks. Students have 2 months after completion of the on-line course (Part 1) to complete the hands-on assessment (Part 2).
