Class A CDL program concentrates on teaching students how to safely operate a combination Class A vehicle. Each student will have approximately 40 hours of classroom theory training (This includes some Simulator time), 10 hours of pre-post trip inspection training, 50 hours of skills (Range/Backing) training, and 80 hours behind-the-wheel (BTW) of a tractor-trailer on public road. DOT testing is included for those who complete training successfully.

Federal DOT requires (Part 391.11.b.2) that students can read and speak in the English language sufficiently. As a result, students will be subject to taking the ESL ACCUPLACER Exam at the start of the program and must score an Advanced Level to continue.
