Body Power is an exercise class that incorporates a mish-mash of cardio and weight training. Each class will be a little different, ranging from full-body workouts to targeting particular muscle groups. The course aims to build muscle, rev up metabolism, sculpt your body, and improve mental health in a safe, accepting environment. Weight training offers a variety of benefits by building bone density, creating stronger connective tissues, increasing joint stability, and improving posture, which all decrease the chance of injury as we age. Furthermore, exercise offers multiple mental health benefits such as alleviating stress, improving sleep, reducing anxiety, and helping to build a sense of well-being. Grab a set of light and medium-weighted dumbbells, a towel, and water, and get ready for a new challenge. (Some weights are available to borrow.)
Body Power is led by Jennifer Hess, who is an ACE (American Council on Exercise) Certified Group Fitness Instructor.
